About by Alacia Bufalini
Welcome and thank you for visiting my website.
I have a huge passion for the outdoors. I feel most alive and at peace when surrounding myself with the wild outdoors. It feeds my soul and fills me with a renewed sense of energy. After moving to Colorado, photography soon became a passion, as did sharing my slides with others so they could see the magnificence of our natural world. There are so many beautiful places to be found in our world, that I am often caught daydreaming about our next adventure even before the present one is over!

I live in Colorado with my husband, Darcy and two toddlers, Skyler and Cooper. It is so important to show them the awesome beauty of our Earth and how fagile it can be. So that is why I take them into the backcountry at every chance. There is no better playground! It also turns out that photography is a great hobby to have in the backcountry when your kids want to get up at the crack of dawn.

Starting this summer in 2007, I decided it was time to leave my film camera at home and shoot digital exclusively. Apprehensive at first, I could not be happier. I have had so much fun editing, critiqing, and loading photos to the web, as soon as returning from each trip. After shooting film for all those years, I look forward to catching up on digital technologies and techniqes.

By presenting these images for others to enjoy, I hope to convey sense of that magic that our world holds so that hopefully we can preserve these special places for future generations.

Please check back often to our Recent Trips section, we still have many summer trips planned through September including a llama pack trip with the kids in the mighty San Juans and a first time trip to the New York Adirondacks!
